My Services & Approach
Treatment Modalities

Medication Management
It is common for integrative psychiatry to be confused with an anti-medication approach. This is not the case! I will make recommendations for medications when appropriate based on symptom severity and treatment history. Ultimately, my goal is to meet you where you are and work within your unique set of goals and values when it comes to the use of psychotropic medication.
-
Pyschotherapy
I offer psychotherapy services that begin with getting to know you and your life story on a deep level. Together, we will choose the best approach or combination of approaches to address your symptoms. I draw from a range of modalities, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Psychodynamic psychotherapy.
-
Lifestyle Counseling
I recognize the crucial role that lifestyle factors play in mental health and well-being. That's why I take a comprehensive approach to lifestyle counseling by analyzing your current habits in detail and working with you to make small, achievable changes that will support your mental and physical health goals. Areas of focus include nutrition, exercise, sleep and social connectedness.

Supplements & Botanicals
As a certified integrative psychiatrist, I specialize in utilizing supplements and herbal medicines to safely and effectively support your mental and physical health. I meticulously evaluate the safety and evidence base of any recommended supplements, and can provide customized dosages and formulations as well as access to high-quality, professional-grade products through Fullscript.

Mind-Body Practices
I use mind-body practices as a part of the treatment plan when appropriate. These practices include yoga, meditation, breathwork, and other relaxation techniques, which are proven to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression.
HOW THE PROCESS WORKS
#1. Contact Form
Fill out the contact form on the Get Started page of the website. I will respond with any additional questions and give you an opportunity to ask any questions as well. You will then be given links to schedule an initial appointment at your convenience and sent the Intake forms.
#2. Intake Forms
My intake package includes questionnaires detailing your mental health, physical health, developmental, social, relationship and spiritual history as well as details about your lifestyle. The purpose of such detailed forms ahead of the first appointment is to help me start to get to know you and allow us to use our first appointment to dive right in.
#3. Comprehensive Assessment
During the comprehensive assessment, I will listen deeply to your story and ask nuanced questions to further understand what you’re struggling with and your goals for treatment. You will leave the appointment with recommendations for next steps that might include some or all of the above listed treatment modalities. Please note, the purpose of the initial appointment is an evaluation. Occasionally, I may refer you to another provider or higher level of care if necessary.
#4. Follow Ups
During follow up appointments, we will review progress on your treatment plan and continue to optimize and customize as needed. Frequency will vary and range from every 2 weeks - 1 month early in treatment to every 2-3 months later in treatment. I also offer 50 minute weekly or biweekly psychotherapy sessions.
